The primary goal of this course is to provide students basic concepts and applications of nanotechnology and spectrochemical analysis. The teaching materials are from Journals such as Analytical Chemistry and Journal of the American Chemical Society and related books. This course focuses on introduction to nanotechnology, optics, and biotechniques. The course also emphasizes the applications of spectrochemical analysis, nanomaterials and sensors. The course is divided to two parts, including traditional teaching (3/5 semester), as well as presentation and discussion (2/5 semester).
Course grade: One exam (40%), 1 report (20%), presentation (20%) and discussion (20%).
